My name is Farhiya, I am a mother to 4 beautiful children age 12, 11,5 and 6 months. I love anything to do with parenting, travelling, spirituality, food, health, homeschooling, personal development etc. So if these areas interest you, please stick around as I’ll do my utmost best to touch upon them.

I am still figuring out this thing called parenting even after reading many books and being a mum for 12 years – It’s a constant trial and error! You can never know enough about this subject can ya? But that’s how it is with everything which is why we keep on learning until we depart from this world.

This reminds me of the Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad pbuh (peace be upon him) “Seek knowledge from cradle to the grave”.

This summons up the importance of seeking knowledge throughout our whole lives and that knowledge doesn’t recognise age. So I hope I can serve you well by providing imperfect materials to help us continue on our journey through life. My aim is to learn from you as you learn from me as we are leading a unique journey with a unique story which can provide a lesson to someone somewhere sometime!

I love writing and I’ve always preferred old-school handwriting to typing during my studies, even when I was doing my dissertation. shocking I know, If I think back now I don’t understand why I made my life so much harder but I guess it was the satisfaction of using pen and paper that we are slowly losing now.

Anyway, long story short writing was something I was fond off and still am. You’d never find me without a notebook and a pen (you never know when you’ll hear something inspirational, right?). Writing is also both therapeutic and a way to keeps myself grounded and allows me to express my thoughts and focus on my goal in life.

I contemplated the idea of blogging for a long time, many have supported me to start but fear and worry held me back. I worried about not being able to express my thoughts clearly to my readers and that my writing wouldn’t deliver exactly what I envision it to be. The more I thought about it the more I said no! After battling with these thoughts for a few years I finally found the courage to start and worry about everything else later! And that is why you’re reading this right now :-). This is a major step in my life as I am finally doing what I love without worrying about perfection.
